Giga Pudding!

Pudding on the Ritz? The Sahara of desserts? Pudding-zilla? Giga Pudding from Japan's Takara Tomy is the sumo-sized snack that will soon leave you as big & jiggly as IT is!
If you've ever visited Japan, one of the first things you notice is how few fat people there are. Well, that's all about to change, thanks in no small part to Giga Pudding. Basically a huge Cream Caramel about 20 times the size of a normal serving, Giga Pudding puts all those mega and uber puddings to shame - not to mention doing major damage to both the Japanese concept of healthy eating and the cholesterol levels of the eaters. A lean dessert it ain't, in fact Giga Pudding may be a recipe for disaster if there aren't enough mouths to feed.
Think of those sand castles you used to make using buckets of beach sand and you're halfway to understanding the concept behind Giga Pudding. If you need more help, check out the dessert recipe illustrations below - I especially like #5 in which the Giga Pudding pail walks in to a smiling refrigerator that says "welcome". Chill, flip and dump... and get out of the way as the household horde descends, spoons at the ready!

Giga Pudding was a hit at at the annual Tokyo International Gift Show last September and store shelves should be well stocked with bright yellow grinning buckets by now. If you're not able to shop in person and/or are that Half Ton Man from TLC, you can order Giga Pudding from Japanese online retailer Rakuten for 2,780 yen (about £18) plus shipping. Be hungry... be VERY hungry
