Around St Philips Cathedral I spent a lot of my teenage days just chillin out with my friends, dressed in Emo fashion, listening to music and skateboarding. Even now, especially during the weekends - Emo's, Punks and Rockers fill Pigeon Park around the Cathedral. It reminds me of Harajuku and Omotesando on a Sunday where the Lolita Goth's and Rockabilly Boys come out and strut there stuff.
On the other side of town you have the main shopping area where the Bullring Shopping Centre dominates the city centre and draws in all the shoppers and tourists. St Pauls Cathedral's spire fills the sky and adds a contrast to the modern architecture that surrounds it.
And this is where I spend most of my time lately. I used to work for Fashion brands such as Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren and Gucci but now I'm taking some time to learn the Japanese art of cooking. So, set aside from the madness of the Bullring Shopping Centre I make Tempura, Sushi and Teriyaki Chicken haha.
But Birmingham's big blue building where I once worked is still nearby. I still can't decide whether I like its design but it definitely gives Birmingham the facial uplift it needed.
