Otaku desu ka?

Here's a collection of photo's of some of the toys around my house. Many of the vinyl figures are produced by Kotobukiya who have been creating high quality resin figures for over 50 years. Founded by Jusaburo Shimizu and co-owned with his two brothers, Kokobukiya products are collectors pieces I've never seen craftmanship that can rival them. The company is most famous for its Gundam Seed collection as they're the only other company that are able to release Gundam products other than Bandai.
The Star Wars figures are part of an extensive Kokobukiya collection. Made from solid vinyl they are heavy and well made. Prices of these seem to rise every year and they go on ebay for £90 a piece.

I love the Donnie Darko movie and this model is awesome. Bought for me by a good friend, this model recites phrases from the movie after pressing a button on his back - "Don't worry, you got away with it." The Storm Trooper is a Cubix adaptation from Japan and Jack Skeleton is one of the greatest characters of all time.
Tomy Toys used to be everywhere and dominated toy stores around the world. But now you don't see them around so much, I wonder why? The pink fella above is Tomy's Chatta. Only available from Japan, he pops out of his Sweety Bucket when you tap on the lid. Depending on how many taps depends on the topic of conversation. He only speaks Japanese so I don't have a clue what he's saying but I think it adds to the appeal for me. He can also be used as an alarm clock.

I'm not really a follower of Final Fantasy, the only game I played and story I know is Final Fantasy VII. Above you can see Cloud and the almighty Sepiroth. Advent Children is a great movie.

Dye-cast keyrings of the all time best Marvel Heroes. I can't decide who I like most, Spiderman or Iron-Man? Ryu was part of the Street Fighter IV Xbox360 collectors edition - HADOUKEN! And check out the size of that lollipop bought for me by my beautiful girlfriend. The Fruits books are a bit dated now but contain photo's of Japanese street fashion, those guys know how to be unique.
The Master Chief from Halo chillin' on my shelf. I watched the Halo Legends Anime movies the other day, a collection of 8 short movies in anime, CGI and some other wierd cartoon form, pretty cool. The Predator handles the face hugger with just one hand, what a bad-ass! From the last pic you can see my Japanese obsession. Besides 24 (Best series ever!) and OC (Gayest series ever, but I love it!) there are Ghibli movies, Appleseed, Akira, Ghost in the Shell and even Katamari Damacy which has to be in my top 5 of best games ever. The little Japanese girl was given to me from my Mom to remind me of my girlfriend, haha.
